How to do it
Steps | Suggested time |

Break down the task for participants to learn into steps. | 5–10 minutes |
Write 3 prompts for examples of performing the task, with small increases in complexity. | 10–15 minutes |
Prepare the most complex prompt as a challenge for participants to perform independently or in pairs. | 15–20 minutes |
Prepare the medium-complexity prompt as a guided example that you will facilitate as the whole group performs it with you, including checks for understanding. | 20–40 minutes |
Prepare the least complex prompt as a demonstration. | 15–20 minutes |
Plan an opening hook and closing check for understanding for the lesson. | 10–15 minutes |
