How to do it

Steps Suggested time
Call on a student and ask them a question, or give them a prompt. 1–2 minutes
If they’re stuck, ask for a volunteer to help them out. 1–2 minutes
Depending on the answer, either support it, or clarify a better answer. 1–2 minutes
Ask the class if they feel they understand by a show of hands, to decide whether to move on or reinforce. 1 minute
