How to do it
Steps | Suggested time |
---|---|
Give the learners the prepared list of things to find, and place them in groups if needed. Explain the purpose of the activity. | 1–2 minutes |
Set a visible timer for the hunt, and remind everyone that they should be prepared to share something they found afterwards. | 1 minute |
Start the learners on the hunt. As they work, occassionally check in to observe how they’re progressing, and what kinds of conversations and questions are surfacing. Adjust the amount of time and announce the change if needed. | 15–60 min |
Once the activity is finished, ask individuals or groups to share out, for example, what was the most interesting discovery from their hunt? | 10–15 minutes |
